I have a 20 year old hohner meisterklasse that I would like to change the reedplate hohner does not have reedplates left in c for this model is it possible to change the key they still have other reedplates available F being one

The F uses a shorter slot reed and you may want to get in touch with Hohner first regarding the comb because, like the MB, they may be using a different comb for keys Db and higher, so check with them to make sure FIRST.

You should be able to put Marine Band reeds in there. Your D and higher will be short slot, Db and lower long slot.

thanks for the advice fellows this meisterklasse was given to me from an old flame so it does have sentimental value also a quality harp

I once sent an old style Meisterklasse to Antony Danneker to have him retune it to a different key. He did an excellent job and is a pleasure to deal with.

He's got a web site. Run a Google search. He's in England, but he gets things done quickly, stays in communication and shipping back and forth to the U.S. is NBD.

You can still get other keys here, but not C:

Of course with a C comb, you could use G, Bb or B reedplates which they have.

decided to send it to joe spiers he has reedplates for c in the old meisterklasse which in your review you thought the old classics were better than the ms models which run about 100 bucks I would only send a harp of this level out would not send a special 20 out as that would not be cost effective
