My YouTube vids are few, but I do like that they contain a good variety of styles. I have a couple of blues, recently a jazz piece, and last night I did a one off to a country tune. I just set the camera up and recorded whatever came out. I had just gotten off a nine hour shift, and stayed up a helluva lot later than I wanted to. This was right before bed.

I dont usually pick myself apart, but i effed up and tried to bend the 5 hole draw a few times when I obviously shouldnt/couldnt have. It is what it is, and I think I may go back to this one and try to refine it more for an mp3 for the fam.

anyone else try this? Id love to see some slow country grooves from you guys...

Yeah, i had no idea how to approach a country ditty. im ashamed (i live in nashville i ought to know!)

Harmonica Jam.com...you can upload songs from their ever changing pool of genre diverse backing tracks. Its an open mic type site...All the tracks are user submitted and you can only post mp3's from the tracks they provide. The real Plus? well, everyone on the site listens and comments/votes on your stuff. Some are very strong players and you can be assured to get an honest critique of your work. AND you can hear how other players approach the same tune...check out the open mic tab and then go to backing tracks for the list of current tunes, and they encourage you to DL them...

Thanks kyzer, i forgot all about that site. i remember visiting it about 2yrs ago but felt a bit intimidated by all the great harp players. I'll look it up again later. thanx for reminding me about it.

theres a much more steady flow of amateurs there than before. of course the main stage has always had it's constants. i go there every few weeks to get new tracks. I only seek out the full length tracks tho, the one minute chunks, tho good sometimes, i just pass on by. ive got quite a collection...
