Has any one played through one of these amps? They seem to have a lot of features for a decent price, but I've heard lots of bad stuff about Peavey. You can't get a Fender loaded with this many features for what they want for the Delta Blues though.I recently purchased a Bassman, and I love it,but it wasn't cheap... Any ways, any input on this Peavey? I have an opportunity to pick up a used one for cheap...

Yes, I've played the Peavey Delta Blues amps, both the 2x10 and the 1x15. I like them both in spite of my distate for EL84 amps.
The Peavey Delta Blues is not an ideal harp amp: It is still a high-gain guitar amp at heart. Tone and feedback will be constant issues. I was able to dial in resonably good sounds, however. It is among the better-sounding low-priced guitar amps when used for harp.
If you can get it for around $300 - $350 it's a good deal.

My experience with tube amps for harp is that less is more. You mention "a lot of features for a decent price". I'm interested in a "vintage" harp tone. None of my amps have any extras beyond a line out. Amps that have master volume controls, fat switches, boosters, multiple gain stages, etc. are often times a red flag that the amp may not be a great fit for harp. Now that I have a few amps that work well for harp if I could do it all over again I would DEFINITELY start out with a harp specific amp built by a harp play/amp builder. Believe it or not I would have saved a lot of money! I bet there are several others on this forum who have spent a lot of time, money and energy working up the same learning curve with me. All the best in your search and have fun! Jay

Thanks Rick, Jay! I'm probably going to pick it up ,I can get it for $275.00 so it's a good deal, even if I turn around and sell it to a Guit player.....

I failed to say that my time, effort and money on the way up the learning curve have been well spent because now I REALLY know what I want. Therefore, I'm no longer foaming at the mouth to get every new harp amp that hits the market.
