I gigged this amp at Ziggies Saloon in Denver last night. I am totally impressed.
I played most of the night with the volume on 3 (not lined out to the PA), and it was more that adequate to keep up with a loud 6-piece blues band. Yet, I didn't have a hint of feedback. I had the amp on an OnStage tilt-back stand, and I was using the Front and Center crystal bullet mic.
The bass was on 8 (out of 12) with the Deep switch on, the Treble was on 4, and the amp was switched to the Fixed Bias mode. The tone was juicy and easily modulated by the pressure I put on the mic and harp. Tons of headroom. I could lay back and chirp along, and then blaze into a big bend that shook the room. Not a hint of feedback.
In the last set I turned the amp up to 4 just for fun. The guitar players (all 3 of them) said I was too loud. Still no feedback.
After the gig ended I was demoing the amp for a guy and turned it up to 5. The designer Bruce Collins was listening and said the amp sounded "muscular." I think it sounded spectacular. Still not a hint of feedback. I didn't get even one tiny ring of feedback all night.
You've heard the tone this amp can produce in the Nic Clark videos. It can also crank, but get this: It has the same sweet tone at low volumes as it does when it's barking at full howl. Percussives just explode from the amp.
During the breaks and after the show several people (many of them harp players) stopped me to say how great I sounded. Um... I sound okay, but the amp sounds fantastic.
