I find it interesting that SPAH is in Minneapolis this year. Howard Levy is also the headliner. Now I hear about a "Harmonica Summit" in Phoenix where I happen to live. This summit is a "Once in a lifetime gathering of blues harmonica players"
My summit was more of a once in a lifetime gathering of the greatest harmonica players on the planet but the same theme is still there.
There are other things going on in my life that also mirror exactly what was going on 10 years ago.
This is history repeating for me. Interesting.
Perhaps if you look at yourself, you will see similar things.

It's been about 10 years since I joined my first band. Now I find myself back with some of those bandmates,in the same garage where we rehearse. It made me reflect on my progress. Back then I was a raw beginner in respect to playing with others. Although I beat myself up about my lack of progress,it gave me a new perspective. I've come a long way since then, but I still have a long way to go.

10 years ago I was just beginning to get single notes and bend notes and shortly after my playing had improved to the point that I was playing with the worship team for the national headquarters of a major religious denomination. I was mostly just playing along with the melody but it worked great for that style of music.
10 years later I'm learning how to incorporate double stops, octaves and other effects; in some ways I feel like a beginner again, relearning the harp. ---------- Ozark Rich __________ ##########
