Hi Geordie,
Just listened to a version on YT and got 30 seconds from Amazon.
I would say song key is in B. Harp key is E 2nd position.
I dont have the cd so dont know about the repeated riff.
Hope this helps.
Maybe we could work on it together and post our versions? whadyasay?

Here's my take on it:

Harp Key: E
Song Key: B

Starting from 2:17 to 2:23 on the album track:

3 draw whole bend and slow release followed by a fast repeated 3 draw whole bend release and 4 draw four times ending with 3 draw whole bend and slow release.

Repeated from 2:25 to 2:30.

From 2:33 to 2:40:

1 draw, 4 draw, 4 blow, 3 draw bend and release, 3 draw, 3 draw, 3 draw bend, 2 draw, 2 draw, 2 draw bend, 2 draw, 2 draw, 2 draw bend, 2 draw, 2 draw bend, 1 draw, 1 draw.

From 2:41 to 2:46:

4 draw bend and release then 4 draw (too-ah ta) fast eleven times.

From 2:49 to 2:55:

Repeat first riff then; 3 draw then bend down, 2 draw bend and release, 2 draw three times.

From 2:56 to 3:03:

1 draw, 3 draw, 4 blow, 1 blow, gliss to 4 blow, 3 draw (blue third bend), then a series of descending draws.

Maybe some others could add some corrections, details (double stops, octaves?) and tab it out.

I also noticed some variation from the album version in the two vids posted; an added warble and a few bits that seem to be an improvement (in my opinion).

Hi guys, thanks for the replies,Rich! my man, outstanding effort! bloody hell thats great i am gonna print that off and try to put the track onto The Amazing Slow Downer so i can use your break down as my tab sheet.
Ox,thanks for posting those clips they are both great, its such a shit kickin toon, BUT i have a question, if the song is in E, wouldnt that mean a harp in A when playing in second position? thats how i figure it then again i have to admit it dont sound quite right when i try to honk along on my A harp, im confused and i dont have a B harp to try instead, anyway thanks for taking the time to help it is appretiated CHEERS Geordie

Hi Geordie,
I think you may have read the first post wrong.

The song key is in B. So you would use a B harp for in 1st position.(not recomended as its a fast hard driving shuffle)
An E harp is the Harp key for 2nd position.
I susupect that Steve Tylers voice has something to do with this song key choice as its a wailing key for harp and fits really well with the song.
He also has a fantastic range and has a high rock voice.
An A harp would be for 3rd position but would lack the feel and drive.
I always try all three positions as an experiment when I try and play a new song. Its interesting to do and makes you think about what fits with the type of song you are listening to.
What Steve plays is pretty simple but very effective in the Blues/Rock context.
Hope that clears things up for you.

Hey Ox, spot on that man i just tried my E harp, which i NEVER use and needs a bit of fettling, and it was immedietlly (yes i know that is spelt wrong!)apparent that you know your stuff.
As far as working on the song together goes, thanks for the offer but i would rather work on it at my own speed, i have a quite severe memory impairment due to a motorcycle accident which makes learning new things a VERY slow process and i get a bit stressed out if i feel i am taking too long over stuff, but thanks for the help with the key coz that starts me on the path
