I recorded these tonight. My princeton reverb amp started crackling, lost gain, and started sounding like heavy metal. So, I am without a guitar amp and had to run it direct into a recording preamp. It sounds better than I thought it would. I am going to be without the amp for who knows how long, so I have some new stuff to experiment with! Walter

wow nice Walter,It started, with to me it felt like a old school vibe, which is great i love old school harp the best, then your vocals started,I it started to feel like your Waltertore style which to me is old shool and new combined it has a fresh vibe your style that is but stays home to its roots at the same time,But by 3/4 into it it was Waltertore all the way, which i cant really describe but very well done

thanks for listening Hobostubs! I am touched you hear something in my music. Like you, the net is my only source to share my music right now. I have completely detached from trying to book/promote myself to clubs/festivals/promoters. I have put out prayers/requests/dreams or whatever you want to call them, to the universe for such a person to appear in my life. Until then, I am continuing to work on finding peace with the music business via retreating and letting go of the negatives.

I am starting to really get it- having negative energy in ones life may get one worldly things, but will never bring peace. This is what my relationship with the music business brings me. I booked myself over 200 gigs a year for about 20 years. I played alot and had a lot of good times, but at the same time I was not at peace due to the promoting/booking component.

So far my prayers have been answered 3 times. There is a farmers market a few blocks from our house that wants me to play every saturday. I can put my stuff in a shopping cart and walk. I love that concept No driving, no pressures about playing certain lenght sets, or material. I get to meet people too, which I love. The second is a fairly big bluesfestival that is going to have me play in between acts. I am waiting for it to be offically anounced before I give the name. These things seem like nothing on paper compared to what I use to do, but in my heart they are the big time because they came via my wish. the third is playing for the annual Collie Rescue Picnic in June. I have been involved with this organization for about 10 years. I do home checks and we have adopted 3 collies that were unadoptable due to severe abuse and issues from it. I love this kind of work. A fourth is in the works- playing the annual picnic for the county's Dept of Developmentally Disabled people. A few hundred special needs adults will be there. I have done dozens of these things and I can testify you will have an audience that will put it out so heavy, it makes playing the great clubs of the world seem boring. Walter

thanks for that compliment Hobostubs! It is always moving to hear this from someone else. I really couldn't ask for more. I realize now the universe will always provide the right path. My approach to music and the industry have never connected for long. If I was to keep on promoting spontobeat like I was, I probably would have died. Instead the door to college opened and I went in. Now I will have a retirement pension and make enough now to support my end of my marriage, buy gear I need, and not worry about money. I just got done ordering a new set of tubes for my princeton reverb amp. there wasn't any sweat running down my back in like - how in the hell am I going to pay for them?? I lived that way for almost 30 years. It takes a toll on you. It can get easy to see the cup 1/2 empty instead of 1/2 full! Mine is well over 1/2 full! Walter
