I have been reflecting tonight on how many of my musical peers are dead. I get these vibes when one dies. I am expecting to hear about it anytime. It rarely is wrong. Trying to fill an empty soul with applause, fame.......... I was somehow summoned off this route and directed to help.

I did one about it and one about lost love:

the sad eyes of a man who lost his dream
be careful getting onstage

Walter

Walter your Mojo is strong but your lungs are even stronger, man you have a powerful sound tight and punchy like your working out on the speed bag jab jab jab bam spinning backfist with a knockout. How long do average before blowing a reed?just curious.you put a lot of energy in your music for a old man :) just kidding i wouldnt want to meet you in a back ally:),I really like the sad eyes song.Ive had a ruff night tonight my 7 year old niece got the tip of her finger cut off at softball practice today, she had to get it sewn back on and its messing with me that song helped take,my worries away for a minute.thanks

Hobostubs: Thanks! I go through a harp, stock marine bands, about every year- year 1/2. I play at least 30 hours a week and probably 90% is with an A harp. I have an alternative theory to blowing hard. I am going to post it on a separate thread. It has a lot to do with sounding real loud, punchy, and yet not hard on the reeds. I learned this from sonny terry. I am sorry about your niece. Thankfully today they can fix most of that stuff! I am enjoying getting to be an old man, so don't worry about saying it! Walter

I cant wait to read the thread about blowing the harp hard.Ive been using lee oskar cause i blew a seydel out in 2 weeks put 2 more sets of reed plates on busted them in less than 6 weeks. My lees i had for a year now they arent as air tight but i kinda like that compared to the cost of replacing the tighter harps.Yea she goes to a specialist today for her finger its been messing with my head all night i love her like she was my daughter,i just hope her finger heals i bought her 2 1/2 size guitars acoustic and eletric and she love's to play around with them.

I will say a prayer. I posted the thread. These two songs here, were inspired by my teen years of listening to a zillion hours of Bad Company, Bob Seger, Allman brothers, Aerosmith, led zeplin, etc. IT is kind of my version of a rock ballad :-)
