I play LOs and I haven't tried an MB in 10 years, last time I did I didn't like them and this stuck with me.
Today I buy an MB in Ab (there was nothing else and I needed this key).
As soon as I tried it I notice the tone was so much better than the LOs (I just finished a 2 hours practice run with LOs).
Anyway I had a thought for all you MB lovers out there and I knew deep inside me that you couldn't all be wrong..
10 minutes lates my mouth was hurtin real bad from the lower reed plate protruding. Then the 2 draw started making a weird noise and is practically unsable now.
I basically killed it in 45 minutes.
I know it's my fault and all but still, pretty fragile IMHO.
the tone though, I gotta get that tone back... Do the other MBs have the same tone (Deluxe, Xover)?
Are they really that fragile (I know it's me but I mean, I did worse on all my other harps Suzuki and LOs and never ruined one so fast.
This is life for you, the nice girlfriend leaves you quick, the grumpy wife stays around much longer...
oh well...

I would maybe contact Hohner. I am sure a harp tech could get is resolved quick, but unless you go through harps like mad, that isn't right.
The cover plates are weak too. You can pay for a similar product with the Deluxe or Crossover, or you can get them worked on. There are a few on the board who do that formally - includes making them more comfortable and making them play better. ---------- Mike Fugazzi vocals/harmonica MySpace YouTube Twitter Facebook Album Ordering
