Hi Gang,

After Going over and seeing Adam last week I was motivated to try the two amp set up again. I have done this before so I had the splitter. My normal set up is an Epi Valve Jr head unit played into a cabinet that I made. I decided to plug my Gibson Skylark in with it. This is a early 60's model that uses the 2-6AQ5 arrangement. Both amps were plugged into the same power strip which is properly grounded, no reversed polarity. So, when I picked up one side of the splitter and grabbed the input cable for the Gibson the bitch bit me. Now, I have had a little bite from the mic before when playing the Gibson so I reversed the plug going into the power outlet and marked the neutral side so that wouldn't happen again. Well, I tried switching the plug and the thing is still shocking me. What is wrong here?

Any chance you had a 3 prong grounded plug substituted for the older cord & plug? If not? Bingo, If you did have the wrork rechecked. And always ALWAYS stay out of the back of older amps if you are not an electricion type. They don't call them death caps for nothing!
