I spent some time in London a few years back and frequented this place a number of times. I was 21 years old at the time and was amazed how many young people were there. In the US no one in their twenties who doesnt play blues music ever goes to see it. The fact that on the weekends that club was packed with people of all ages blew my mind. Great spot, hope to return there some day. Thanks for posting this video.

"hello the brits did so much to advance blues rice miller loved the uk there was no racism over there"

Well in reality the UK is full of racism and always has been. It was probably just not as openly racist as certain parts of the USA at that time.

True that Kingley, but there was not the open segregation in UK in the 50's and 60's like there was in the States.

Does Weston have a CD? The guy has great tone, phrasing and timing and he never comes to this side of "the pond".
Anyone know?

Hi Pluto. I know West very well and have posted probably the most videos of him on you tube to date. He does not have a cd in the pipe line and has never released one. I have asked him on several occasions to make one and have even offered to help in anyway I can. I still have my fingers crossed for that. I will pass on your message. Thanks

I met West Weston when I toured in the UK last year... Nice guy and as you already know a monster player... I was lucky enough to be backed by the CAdilac Kings - good friends of his and great players in their own right (Gary Potts is their harp player and also has monster tone)...

ON Friday night we played Ain't Nothin But - One of my favorite clubs - ANYWHERE - maybe not the most educated blues crowd but what they lack in blues education they make up for in enthusiasm.. fun night!

Here is a brief clip of MUST BE JELLY - paying my respects to Bill Clarke (often blatantly!).. Anyone that knows me also knows that he will remain a great influence on my playing - this is the only song that I cover of his these days but I never seem to tire of it..
