I'm happy to announce that Terry "Big T" Williams, blues bassist and guitarist from the heart of the Delta, will be part of my band at Hill Country Harmonica--both the Rooster's gig/jam on Friday night (5/21) and the Saturday night gig at Foxfire.
Big T has been playing bass with Big Jack Johnson for years; he's also a remarkable guitarist in his own right. Here are two links:

Terry will probably be joined by Lee Williams, who is arguably the best shuffle drummer in Mississippi. He's a young guy who was very good as a teenager--I played a gig with him 7 years ago when he came along with Sam Carr--and has only gotten better, to the point where he is everybody's first-call blues drummer in the Delta.
This means that those of you who come to the jam at Rooster's will be backed up by a real blues rhythm section, not a sort-of blues rhythm section. Same on Saturday night after Charlie and I open things up to the floor.
Charlie and I are very happy. Since Charlie plays bass as well as guitar, he's likely to switch off with Big T.

This Hill Country event of yours seems to be getting better and better every week Adam.
Sick as a dog that I can't attend. I'll just experience it vicariously. Will you be filming any of it for Youtube? ---------- "You will never get every possible thing out of an instrument, but the instrument will get every possible thing out of you" - Ray Charles.

Adam....you are making it harder to wait LOL! ---------- Music is your own experience, your own thoughts, your wisdom. If you don't live it, it won't come out of your horn. They teach you there's a boundary line to music. But, man, there's no boundary line to art. - Charlie Parker

Kyzer I'd be grateful for even 10 minutes worth. ---------- "You will never get every possible thing out of an instrument, but the instrument will get every possible thing out of you" - Ray Charles.
