I just purchased a new harp commander III and am trying to learn how to use the device. I play through a Shure 707a and Fender Blues Jr (I am aware of the issues some have w/ Blues JR). The issue that I am having is that when I plug into the harp commander I am getting a fair amount of Hiss. This seems to happen no mater what the settings are on the gain, phase or line out knobs. When plugging my silver bullet direct into the amp there is no hiss. I have tried connecting the harp commander with both the XLR and TRS cables and both hiss. I am currently connecting to the TRS jack with a 1/4" mono cable and wonder if that might be the culprit, however that does not explain the hiss with the XLR connection. I did not know if perhaps anyone out there might know someone who has used the Harp Commander with a Fender Blues Jr. and might be able to recommend settings? I’d appreciate any help you could offer.

Looking at the instructions on the website, it sounds like you should use the unbalanced output on the front panel to feed an amp like the blues Jr. The outputs on the rear are for PA connections.
