I'm not sure how I missed Peg Leg Sam, through my 35 years of harp aficionado-dom, but somebody brought him to my attention this weekend and I'm blown away. He's got a big, strong, soulful sound. He's coming from the Piedmont tradition, and his playing certainly bears some resemblance to Sonny Terry's and Rev. Dan Smith's. All of us, whoever we are, having something to gain by listening to his work:

Recently I got two of his albums ("Medicine Show Man" and "Josuah") and they're great.

Gosh! Peg Leg Sam can even dance better than me and I haven't got to the harp bit yet.

Peg Leg Sam was awesome!! There's a guy here in the New England area who really does this guy's thing dead on the money named Pat "Hatrack" Gallagher.
