Yesterday, I went to a friend's house for a weekly discussion time we have. He comes home for lunch and we share journal entries and have lunch and discuss spritual issues concerning our specific circumstances that week. It's a cool fellowship, but he often runs late from work to the house.
Yesterday, i sat down on his front porch steps and played my marine band in A for awhile. Some slow blues improve, some folksy songs, some flat out noodling, a few scales. After about ten minutes, i decided to text him t let him know I was there. As I began to push buttons I heard a voice say "well don't stop now!" I looked across the street and there was a lady standing by the sidewalk two houses over. She had been in her driveway cleaning out her garage behind the house, about 200-250 feet away and heard me playing. Evidently she had just decided to come to the road so she could listen better...lol. It was hilarious. I told her i was just stopping to text Jim, when the phone rang in my hand. Of course it was him telling me he was running late. When I got off the phone, she was still standing there and said "I didn't hear you..why did you say you are stopping?" Lol. I said..."I'l play some more..I was just calling Jim." She said "okay...good." and went back to the garage...lol.
It turns out she is big into ragtime (according to Jim), so maybe i'll work up the entertainer with that handy 6 overblow..lol.

I was playing in my kitchen with the windows slightly open one summer night when i had a text 'hey play louder can you, we can't hear you very well' from my next door neighbour.
Now that's right neighbourly..

Perfect. I can play amp'd at my own house and nobody can even hear it. My closest neighbor is over 200 feet away, so as long as I keep windows and doors closed i can let'er rip. I think my neighbors would like it though. i had a going away party for my son and put half of my PA out there for music. Nobody said a word.
