Don't think Adam mentioned this in his wah wah video.

When doing a wah wah whether using my hands, or not I'll vocalise and say wah wah into the harp. I find this gives a richer sound and stronger effect.
Don't vocalise every time you wah, just occasionally when you want a bigger wah!!

You can also do it in reverse by vocalising ow o, ow o.

Basically when you vocalise it your bending the note.
Excuse the noodling at the end.

Has anyone got any other tips and tricks to share ?

Good clear explanation of the technique.
Nice to hear we have some of the great players from Scotland on the board too!

Good tip, good explanation. The 'noodling' at the end sounds amazing!

Good audio explanation! Now, I'm not gonna purposely rehash any of the tb/lp arguements, which I always bow out of, BUT, as one of those who LP's single notes, I have to wonder if it's easier to do the vocalizations while TB'ing? Anyone who can single-note play in both methods care to shed some light on that?

I vocalize while LPing all the time. Wah, Yah, wow, yow, wee whatever comes into my head I will try. Ticka, didika, tucka, wah-kuh, too-koo. I have even sung words through the harp during a solo.

Thanks for the kind words.:o)

Toddle,
Its easier in LP to vocalise, but as you can hear easy enough in TB too.
Both take a little practise.

All the above mentioned vocalisations are possible in TB and LP.
