So alright, I have some tickets to go see Buddy Guy soon but unfortunatly, I'm not particulary knowledgeable of his work (mainly because its impossible to get a record without ordering it). It would be greatly appreciated if you could recomend me some of his albums. Cheers

I love Buddy Guy. He might have a bad album out there that I
don't know about but I never heard it or heard of it.

Of course anybody who doesn't have "Hoodoo Man Blues"...
just for me it's nothing less than a must have. That's the
touchstone classic Junior Wells album and still hot as a
pistol after all these years.

"Stone Crazy" is also a true house burner, came out in the 80s.
For me, every cut on that recording is nothing less than a thrill.
Pure pleasure.

Another one of my personal favorites would be "This is Buddy Guy!", an earlier live recording taped with a rowdy crowd. I
haven't seen him for years now but he always pulled off a
great performance whenever I was lucky enough to catch one
of his shows.

Check out Drinkin' TNT & Smokin' Dynamite. It's a nice live album from the 70's with Junior Wells.
