I noticed that Seydel has a make with tip scooping occuring on the underside of the reed at the tip of the reed plate. I can't think of any other harps that have that. I know Rupert Oysler mentions doing that on his harps, and Kinya Pollard likes to tip scoop just the reed side.

Any thoughts to this or tip scooping in general? I don't think most customizers use that technique but have no real evaluation of the pros and cons.
