Anyone try the non slider chromatic harp from Seydel? I have several chromatic harps in disrepair and love the idea of a low or no maintenance chromatic like the diatonic.

My only thoughts were it may be a hassle to play with a cupped mic.
I have one of Brendan Powers X bend chromatic harmonicas which is great for the bending it makes possible but I don't use it any more. I use a conventional chromatic.
I have been working much harder on my chromatic playing over the last 4-5 years and kind of like the concept but is it worth the effort. Think I'll wait to see somebody else play some blues on it to make a judgement about buying one or not!

I wanted to buy one but when I tried to, the first instruments were already sold out, new ones will come in the end of July.
The idea of playing guitar and the chromatic simultaneously blew my mind. And, of course, the bending possibilities too, because I don't play the chromatic much and it's something that I always miss on it.

I decided to check this non-slider out on Seydel's site to see what it's all about. I have a Seydel Deluxe Steel Chromatic, which is a great harmonica, but hate getting stuck windsavers. I was on the fence whether to buy this non-slider version (@ $250.00 US). Of course the harmonica and gear acquisition syndrome got the best of me and I went and ordered one from Rockin' Ron. His site says about a 3 to 4 week lead-time so hopefully it's worth wait.
