I tested two of them when he visited Chile a few years ago. I can't tell if there's a "signature sound" on his mics, since the two of them were very different from each other. The shells were made from different materials (one of them was a headlight taken from a 1930s german motorcycle) and so were the elements.
Also, I can't remember the exact features of them in terms of sound, but regardless of their differences, they were both very nice mics. Like, vintage custom mic level.
And Martin is a very nice guy, btw.
