Just completed this cover of Te Ni Nee Ni Nu. I love playing the tramp groove, so I played throughout the entire thing. I even had 12 bars of spotlight to play some licks I ripped from Louis Jordan!
Just an Ultimate 57 straight into the direct input box. Since we're doing distanced recording, my studio engineer always wants a "dry" track. (No amp, no effects.) It's easier to mix and add any effects later.
The amp sound was achieved through the digital workstation, after the fact. It came out pretty good!
Agreed. We plug in here at home sometimes. I'm about to get a new video camera so I can get some fresh videos of us. So stay tuned! ---------- Music and travel destroy prejudice.
