If it's a fairly-recent Shure(olders ones may work, too-I don't know), it's threaded to fit the top of the stand. Just unscrew the plastic mic clamp from the stand, and voila.

My experience is you have to cup the bullet while playing; even though I have an old green bullet with a mic stand screw thread instead of a volume pot it seems to sound best if you get real close and cup with your hands.
Switch to the pa/vocal mic for hand vibrato and contrast.

Joe Satriani affixed one to a stand for when he'd play rack harp.

The older bullet mics all had screw on adapters where they now place the volume controls so that it could be placed on a mic stand. As far as bullet mic holders, the one I've seen are just for holding the mic to the stand whenever you don't want to use the mic and either sing or play acoustically thru the PA.

Cupped in your hands, you do have hand effects, but it is limited in use. All bullet mics have an omnidirectional pickup pattern and are always hotter than most dynamic mics, which mainly use a cardiod or heart shaped pick up pattern.

Check out the Harpgear.com site, Brian has a nice section on how to hold a mic. Bob is right, all of my older shells are threaded.

Hey road - Go to the hardware store and find the abs plumbing reducers - from maybe 3" down to 1 1/4" or whatever fits, then cut out of the side a large enough slot to accommodate your card and volume knob. I made basically a clamp from oak so that it is attached to my mic stand. If I have a picture I will post it.

Oops - didn't realize you needed to hold it to play thru!!

You need to check out Cadillac Pete. He makes harp satnds and mic holders.

Kim WIlson, Rick Estrin, Jerry Portnoy and Mark Hummel all use his harp stand. If you've ever been to one of their gigs in last few years you will have seen one.

The mic holder is near the bottom of the page in this link.

That one above looks like about the best I've seen for versatility. Not only for the mic but you have a gadget for magnetically holding a harp as well. I do wonder how solid that part is but the cup deal for the bullet looks pretty good.
I'm not totally away from bullets but usually these days I am going through a Shure 585 ball mic on a stand. This gives me hands free on the mic and the ability to do hand effects and cup tight when I want. The cartridge is plenty hot for my purposes and the mic is pretty inexpensive. It's high z and has a 5/8" screw on end which I use a screw on to 1/4" adapter on. Works great for my needs!

All items are made with 3D printer. Extra Strong GB holder and Harp holder are made with 100% inside fill, so they are very strong.... and first GB holder "S model" is made with 60% inside fill so it is a little bit cheaper. It is still a solid holder but maybe not for wild gigs and lot of touring... of course that is all depends on how someone look after his equipment.
I personally use S model for singing on my gigs and I'm satisfied.
