I'm curious if anyone has had problems with the Xvive U2 wireless system. Twice now it has just quit working in the middle of a performance. Luckily had a cable handy. This last time, it was fully charged before using it. Seems to work for a short while then stops. Maybe the batteries just don't properly hold a charge anymore. I've had it for a little over a year. I'm apprehensive about using it anymore. Until now, I've been very happy with it.

I bought my u2 used and have had it around a year. I had it quit once at a 3 hr gig. Since then I turn it off between sets. For me that does the trick. I also keep the charger with me and often charge it between sets. I love mine and the freedom it gives me. If it’s not lasting at least an hr you my have battery issues.

I've had mine a few years, never had a problem. However, every other device I own seems to have a battery, and batteries do degrade over time. So it might be the case that the Xvive ones will as well. I always carry a good cable as backup. I've only used it once or twice, when I accidentally hit the switch while packing up and left it on, resulting in a dead battery later on.

Just took a look and found this video as well as some articles on how to replace the batteries. Haven't watched or tried, but may be helpful. TL;DR: it doesn't look easy.

Thanks for the replies. Batteries were fully charged at the time. It didn’t really die in terms of power, seems like it just stopped transmitting, interference maybe? I did have a cable handy. I’ completely discharged and recharged the batteries and will try again maybe channel 4 this time. They are little more than a year old. Other than this they work quite well, Thanks again.

If it happens again, check to make sure transmitter and receiver are on the same channel. I've occasionally gotten the two out of sync and after momentary panic realized the problem.

Consider that the xvibe uses lithium batteries. It is harmfull to let them fully discharge. This weekens them. Best care is to recharge often even if discharged just a little. They have no "memory" so this is not a problem.

Love mine. only once didn't work because the channel button got pushed and they didn't link. 5 hours of playing no problem. Can't even find my cables. Don't think I would even know how to use a cable anymore LOL.

I haven't used mine for months so put it on charge yesterday afternoon. It had barely been on charge for 10 - 15 minutes and it was fully charged, not that gives any idea as to how long it will play for once I plug it in of course. I was just surprised by just how short a time it needed to be fully charged again.
