I played through a Laney Cub 10 valve amp last week and it was for me quite a sweet amp.
The owner won't sell it but I've found a Cub 12R which also has reverb. This is the list of features ; Gain, Treble, Middle, Bass, Volume and Tone controls FS1 footswitch (Not Included)FX loop, Reverb, Two EL84 tubes, Three ECC83 tubes, One 12" Celestion speaker and it weights only 11.5 kgs or 25 lbs.

Has anyone used one or have any opinions or pros and cons.
Cheers John

Hi John,
The Cub 10 runs 2x6v6 output at a relatively low 300v on the plates and is structured very much in the fender style. The low plate voltage, I think, contributes to its sweet sound. I haven’t tried the Cub 12 but have played guitar through the Cub 10 and it’s not a bad sound.

Hello,

Be carefull Laney replaced the Cub 10 by the Cub Super 10 recently. The 2 6v6 lamps are now replaced by one EL84 and that is not so adapted for harp.

Best regards,

Roger
