I'm taking the screws (trying) out of the Hohnwe Blues Harp MS. It looks like the bottom screws have a little nub in the bottom. Like its a phillips head with a hollow tip!? I don't want to strip any of these screws, maybe need different tools than what I have.

Do you mean the cover plate screws?
They are just a bolt and nut, not a pair of screws. The nut is like a sleeve and because it's circular, you can't easily grip it from the outside so it has some cut outs for you to be able to hold it with a screwdriver if necessary. Usually you can just do them up or undo them with one driver through. I don't think I've ever needed to go at them from both sides but I suppose it's always a possibility.

It is a #2 Pozidrive, a phillips head destroys the slot very quickly.

Yes, agreed it's a posidrive, but the "little nub in the bottom" is just the end of the screw, and no cause for concern.

I've just used phillips all these years and wondered why they fatigued so easily. Never had an issue getting one open. If you're saying both screw ends are rotating together instead of coming unscrewed separately, then maybe they were crossthreaded.
