I was reading Adam's list of harmonica players and checked out Taro Senga, and it seems his band Monster TAI-RIKU has been posting on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCxL1MyCQ0HwPOaUZt9rl_tw.

The following is from the same show that is posted on the All-time Harp Greats page - so fun (and just noticed the slightly beat up PRS guitar amp that he's playing through!)

I can honestly say that he is the best young player I have heard in a while (click through to the 50+ songs they've got up on Youtube!). Glad I saw the link to his live performance from a little while ago on this site! I can't believe he isn't better known! The guitarist is very good too and their joy playing together is very evident and so great to hear.

Thanks for this post----with 'you tube' and internet, its hard to keep track of all the great players.

I remember the original post, I was blown away. I think monster has it all. Soulfull blues style and leads that keep up with a guitarist.

So many times a harp player follows a great guitar lead and the energy drops. This guy can do both the soulful fills, soulfull leads and "HIGH ENERGY LEADS".

He's one of the guys that make me want to quit. To be that good, that young. But I won't quit, its to much fun.

Its so cool that guys from Japan like the blues enough to sing it English. The whole band seems to be having fun. I think, thats part of the allure.

I don't think the the originators of the blues, had any idea that the songs and rhythms, they made up, working on the railroads would have so much impact.

Their are people in all parts of the world, that love the blues. Many post on this sight.

This band and "Mr Monster" are really "Great"
Thanks again
