Another great one gone.

Early recordings, for me, defined FUNKY MINIMALISM.

Most likely one of Curtis Salgado's biggest influences.

Bummer ---I really like his stuff---I just finished learning "use me" The guitar tag etc--he had a lot of good, soulful stuff.

We covered some of his stuff 20 some years ago. He sure made a mark on the music in the day. There goes a real man.

Ain't No Sunshine

Lean On Me

Definitely in my pantheon of all time great songs. The relentless march of names from the greatest era of music, and i'm not even gonna add an "in my opinion", just reinforces that none of us gets out alive.

Folks commenting on his radio hits, but if you want to find the true gems, check out his early recordings in which one of the cuts is the AM radio hit, but the rest are songs that never hit the mainstream radio - these are AMAZING funky tunes.
