Last week I almost started re-tuning most of my harps - after checking several of them with a tuner. It thought it was strange because none of them sound out of tune. Still, I have a so-so ear (at best), and I almost started the process. Luckily, I took one more run at a harp that sounded really in tune, and then noticed that the tuner had been reset to something like 422. I then remembered the day before my 3 year old grandson playing with the tuner. When I reset it to 442 my harps (magically) were in good tune.

I pick 442 or 443 based on playing several notes on the harmonica I plan to adjust. On several occasions I have found that my previous setting had changed. so I avoided that disaster.
Always better to check twice before retuning.
Unfortunately, on a few occasions I have miscounted which REED I am adjusting and have had to correct by retuning the mistaken reed.
Always better to check twice before retuning... ----------
