   | I currently own a Boss NS-2 noise gate pedal. Does the lone wolf harp shield do any thing really different than the boss pedal? Is it worth it to by a harp shield? Am I missing anything of value by using a boss ns-2?
I would like to support lone wolf pedals.... but I’m poor haha

   | A gate is either open or closed as far as I know. The only potential points of difference are the sensitivity and the route. If the boss is doing it and gives no trouble, not colouring tone, I can’t imagine what the LW could offer that’s better

   | No experience with the Boss but I use a LW HS and it works really really well for me (using a 40 watt tube amp with 2x10's & bulittini mic not micing the amp) my problem is loud band sometimes and sometimes not so feedback was a problem with LW I'm able to play loud as I need. If the Boss isn't working go get the LW Lou

   | I have the Harp Shield, rarely use it. This topic make me want to go back and experiment with the Noise Gate function/setting on my Digitech RP350. I never use that piece of gear. |

   | i have both---never tried the boss with harp---one advantage of Harp shield is the "kill: when u step on pedal---if u do have feedback its stops the cycle right away---
I just prefer using things made for harmonica----
however for guitar pick up noise, or noise in the line, the boss works great.
