After 61 years of playing I finally got into a recording studio and made a cd of old time harmonica. It's called "Poor Man's Fiddle". This is old songs played in the old style. I have to vouch here. While it is not blues it is most def a valid work by a skilled player. Sarge is a guy whose family brought him up in music. He- and this CD- is the real deal.

Congratulations on the Cd.
Sounds great, I love that style of playing.
Every time I'm running out of ideas for a song I tell myself to put in a little "Sarge style" to liven things up.

I'm on board with that Spderyak. Sarge does stuff I've not thought of yet no matter what style I happen to be playing in.
There was a time I was pretty much only interested in straight up blues whatever that may be. In recent years my taste has broadened and this is partly thanks to having a friend like Sarge, who helped open my eyes to a broader palette of musicality.

I’m a hardcore blues guy but that first song was really fun with some complex vamping. You would be great in a Cajun band.

I believe Sarge is in fact the title character of the last song on the CD, Hot Shot Harmonica Man!
