Is there any way to strengthen the end of the cable that goes into a green bullet mic to help stop it from wearing loose over time

It's a matter of time to cable shows some kind of trouble. Some people just put an adaptor on it. You could try put tons of hot glue inside the shell (take the element off first)

The green bullet was made to sit in a stand and was used for dispatch work. The spring mount to me is better off taken out. Isolating a good quality cord inside the shell with silicone is a good idea but having a screw on connector installed I find is superior. Then you have a couple of options, either a female 1/4" adapter or a hard wired female cable end and dedicated cable.
Greg Heuman comes to mind immediately. He modded a mic for me and did a top shelf job.

There is a simple way to reduce the strain at the spring cable connection to the GB that doesn't actually strengthen or change that connection.

Of course this must be done BEFORE the connection has problems.

An old school solution to delay or prevent the GB cable connection from weakening was to cut the cord leaving a pigtail from the mic and put a female 1/4" connector on the end. Then you can use any 1/4" guitar instrument cable from the amp to the pigtail.

This pigtail/guitar cable solution prevents twisting strain from your wrapping up the long mic cable after every use. It also prevents connection damage from accidentally stepping on the cable. When I used a GB the pigtail I length I left was about 16" from the mic. If you step on the cable, the pigtail and instrument cables come apart at the jack and thus does not strain the mic connection.

I sent mine to Greg and he put a screw on connector on it. He also put a screw on connector on the cable. I've used that cable for the past three years on a weekly basis. No problems.

Like Joe L and Jbone have done. Having an Amphenol screw on connector fitted is the best thing you can do by a running mile. In my opinion doing anything else is a waste of time and a far inferior solution.

I installed an Amphenol screw on connector in my Astatic Brown Biscuit. Yes, it is a better fix than the pigtail method I used when I used a Green Bullet. If you can do it yourself or pay to have it done, it is a good solution. However, you can still damage your Amphenol connector on your cable if you step on it enough.

The Amphenol connection's elegance does not negate the benefits of the low cost, easily done alternative of the pigtail as opposed to twisting a long hard wired cable on a Green Bullet. I never had GB ground connection noise problems after cutting the wire to a pigtail. Simple, cheap, and you use a guitar cable.

Shrink wrap will also help for a while. Best is new screw on connector as others have said.
