Over the past several months since discovering modernbluesharmonica.com, I have downloaded a plethora of music from many of the greatest Blues Harpists in history. In particular, I acquired many of the albums that Adam Gussow recommends on the “Classic Blues Harp Albums” page.
Recently, one of my new friends introduced me to a couple of Harpists who are not in Mr. Gussow’s list: Little Mack Simmons and Buster Brown. I’d never heard of them before, but both are fantastic.
To give you a taste of Brown’s greatness, here’s a link to his version of “Blueberry Hill.” Absolutely to die for.
