If you are thinking of driftin’ And driftin’ from pigboy cranshaw album, I believe it is in Bb, using Eb harp

I have always played an Eb, and now a Low Eb, over the Live album and Woodstock version of the same tune. Eb rules on this one so have your band play in Bb, a favored horn key. Note the horns in the Woodstock clip, some real cool stuff goin' on there. THIS is the tune that grabbed me most, early on, heard it around 1973 or so for the first time. For me, this tune really lets one cry out their deepest pleas, and such. You picked the right slow blues tune to do, guys, it is ripe for some very emotional playing, it leads one into a passion unlike many other tunes. Looking at why I love this tune so much, I know it taught me a lot about breath control, warbles, throat vibrato, tongue blocking, tongue slapping and cocktail waitresses.

If your amped, a low C with the root in G works too.
