wow
I frickin love being humbled---not that I need it a bunch. It helps u realize "how good yr not" thats good

Playing a Capella harmonica [just harp nothing else] w/out being boring, sloppy, [repeating phrases in a noticable way] or bad timing is very challenging, to say the least.

this is Phil wiggins doing it masterfully

I put it in transcribe to see how close he was to 12 bar---counting beats n measures etc {too time consume]

The point is u can follow n hear the 12 bar deal in yr head when he's playing solo--for the most part.

he's turn arounds don't sound "out of place"

2.5 minutes ------- 10 [12 bar] go arounds more or less---- 197 bpm approx.

I hope I can still go to hch ----- money???

Shut up bob ---ok

He is so good. I'm a long time fan but have never seen him, so I'm looking forward to HCH.

Put "snowman" on your nametag . I hope everyone will do that so we can recognize forum members.

ok "snowman mbh" nametag
read yr bio deal--I agree people need to be passionate about learning somthing when older, or they are just-

"typical grouchy, set in their ways, old farts"

Im a failure at a lot of things but Im a success at being a fun loving old guy" I get along as well with young people as I do old ones

I hope I don't have to cancel hch--so many people to learn from----Money getting scary

Phil's pretty competent at amplified Chicago style, but is brilliant at acoustic Piedmont style..

Check out his muted trumpet sound acoustically - pretty close to Miles Davis' muted trumpet sound.

I'm going to listen to everything he does.

Snowman, I'm driving down from Nashville on Thursday morning and could give you a ride if your flight is anywhere around that time. Save you a few bucks. Superbee rode with me last year at the end of the event.

At an earlier HCH session Phil Wiggins broke down what initially sounded like some simple riffs, revealing the complexity of what he does while playing.

He is an amazing player!
