I like it. My observations.... It really shines on note transitions with no bends involved. Bent notes sound like it's a heavy phaser. I've really been wanting to try one, especially with an Comet or Echo. They are a little pricey.

Diggs, you sound good playing through it. However, I would really be interested to hear you using chromatic to play through it.
It seems as though the less that the notes are bent, the more organ-like it sounds. Since your chromatic playing is exceptional and you can play split intervals well, it would likely be amazingly organish.
I have a guitar playing friend who uses a B9, and I have often wondered about playing harp through one. When he bends strings it has a similar sound to your bent notes. Guitar chords and unbent strings sound more like an organ.
Yes, I do know that when the pitch wheel is used it has a similar effect. I just tend to think of organ in old school ways, before they invented a pitch wheel. ----------
Yep Doug you're right the chromatic sounds more like an organ. Maybe next week I'll put up one with chromatic.

A guitarist I know uses one of these and when he is playing chords, it sounds just great, but once he starts soloing, particularly playing fast, it sounds mushy to my ears. I know a harp player who uses one of these and it never sounds right and he has told me he uses it becuase he doesn't TB or play octaves and he thibks it gives him a thicker sound. He plays with a 5 piece band and it doesn't sound great when he overdrives it. I like how you work at achieving a organ sound, probably thinking of your organist friends from Philly! The tone of the B9 just doesn't sound organic to me, different stri=okes for different folks I guess. You play such nice chro straight up.

Interesting. I know some of the big guys have used gadgets to puff up their sound, Carey Bell comes to mind. Some of his stuff on Tough Luck was really amazing. Not sure what exactly he was using.
Me personally, I rarely use anything but a bit of delay from a Lone Wolf pedal, or very occasionally I'll crack open the trem on a trem amp to fatten things. ---------- Music and travel destroy prejudice.
I might agree that delays, tremolos and reverbs are puffing up the sound, but I think this pedal brings a whole new realm of possibilities. When I was 1st researching it I found a Mooncat review where he did not like the latency or maybe ghost notes or something else, but I remember thinking, "wow, you got to have a lot of pedal experience to hear that. No, this isn't tone puffing. This offers a whole new dimension to your playing if you can master it.
