Hey all, I'm starting a new 6G6-B Bassman build and was wondering if anyone has used one for harp, and, if so, would they recommend any alterations to the circuit? I also posted this over at the Lone Wolf forums even though it seems there's not been a whole lot of activity over there... Thanks in advance! Schematic found here.

I had a replica '59 built to old specs some 10-12 years ago. Explained to him what I needed and he did a good job. It was a beaut and was built as close to 1959 specs as he could get it with new components. I had a 12au7 in P3, otherwise it was a volume and tone dream. Sligo Amps out of Maryland or Virginia. Steve Clark I believe was the builder.
I had to let it go some years later. ---------- Music and travel destroy prejudice.

I guess what I really wanted to know is: I would like to use this amp as a harp/guitar amp. One channel for guitar and one for harp. Judging by the schematic, I think the Bass channel might be good for guitar (with some mods), and the Normal channel might be decent for harp. My thinking is based on the idea that the Normal channel, with its gain stages the way they are, and modded with lower plate voltages (dropping resistors?), would be beneficial given the harp amp principle of "lower plate voltages on the preamp are good." Can I increase the dropping resistor to say 75K in order to drop the voltages to the 90-110V range in the preamp?
