Whenever I entered the Vendors Area there was always the most people around Blue Moon. I got to try one of Tom's new
customized Golden Melodies. I gotta tell you it played great. Even response across the harp with overblows 4,5 and 6 with ease and a big fat sound. Well done Tom !!!!
I can remember when you just started out with just combs.
P.S. The new Golden Melody Combs are Great.

I got a couple covers, and a Golden Melody with a carbon fiber hydrographic on it. Tom does a great job, but I haven't played one of his customs yet.

I got 2 more aluminum marine band combs to further upgrade a couple of custom harps in my kit, and they sure sound nice.

Aw shucks Diggs. Thank you. Yes - I remember the days when I just started out making combs. That was 8 years ago. I really only started building harps about 5 years ago, but you can get a Masters Degree from a major university in five years so it is not surprising that I have made some progress.
Phil - thanks for your business. You should have sampled some of my harps at SPAH. I had plenty available to play.
Rusty - Thanks for your business. Be sure you put that Granite Surface Plate to good use.

As I have previously posted, I had installed some Manji reed plates on Bluesmaster combs and covers, and they sounded good. It was a cheap way to upgrade some harps in odd keys.
At SPAH I tried one of Tom's Blue Moon Manjis built on one of his combs. It played great! So I upgraded my Manji/Bluesmaster Frankenharps, buying Blue Moon combs for the Manji plates. I was in a self indulgent moment and I also bought 2 beautiful "harp bling" covers for a couple of those harps. They look really good! Tom also installed center supports for the covers.
Blue Moon combs made a HUGE difference in the response and air tightness of those harps! Blue Moon is dedicated to pleasing customers. Doing business with Tom is a pleasure.

It was a great week! I loved working next to Tom and we had a lot of fun meeting so many new people and always the regular customers! Dont wait till next SPAH to check out the products!
