I have a BLJT-30 that I bought new back in the 80's. Is there a volume mod kit available, or a list of required parts and instructions to install? Also, what adapter is used to replace the original mini-connector/cable?
Thanks

I actually found info by searching the threads. Inline VC seems the way to go to keep the integrity of the original configuration of the mic shell, etc. I'll have to see if one is available for the miniature XLR connection on the mic. Rob

That should be a standard XLR connection? I am pretty sure Greg makes XLR VC's.

Thanks,Harpaholic. I'll research Greg's VC's. The BLJT-30 does have a miniature cable connection. The description in the spec sheet is "New miniature connector-plug arrangement for quick disconnection of the 6.1m (20 ft.) cable assembly. New small bodied 1/4" phone plug at the equipment end of the cable."

If you're in the USA you might consider a rear mounted VC. You can see it at this site (it shows 'sold' but just scroll down and the post is still there). https://reverb.com/item/7533256-vintage-astatic-200-harp-mic-with-strong-element
This was developed a few years back by tube amp guru, Skip Simmons, for his then young client, Rick Estrin. It allows you to adjust volume using your pinky finger while playing without uncupping the mic and harp. Skip did one for me and I took it to Mark Overman who has done a few for me. Email me if you want contact info.
I have an old Switchcraft and a new Gregg H. inline VC (which are fine with non-bullet mics) but prefer the built-in.
