Harlan Ellison....died yesterday....
One of my favorite science fiction authors....and commentator on tv culture as well during the 60's/70's....and all around character.

He was a fave of mine too. Not to mention penning some screenplays for Gene Roddenberry's Star Trek.

Check out the movie “A Boy and His Dog” starring the pre-Miami Vice Don Johnson, based on an Ellison story. Hysterically bizarre.

Story is much better than the movie, but movie has awesome Jason Robards as well!
Ellison also toured with Three Dog Night to experience and report on the rock and roll concert scene.
There was an excellent documentary on his life on Netflix, but I don't know if it is still available.
