I am a little surprised that no one has mentioned the recent passing of Matt "Guitar" Murphy on June 15, 2018.
Most folks know of MT from the Blues Brothers, which gets mixed reviews as to whether it was just a novelty act or a real band.
Beyond the Blues Brothers, Murphy was a part of the Chicago blues scene in the Forties and the Fifties. I read he was a session guitar player at Chess Records. He played with many artists including, Etta James, James Cotton, Willie Dixon, and Sonny Boy Williamson.
Here are a couple of clips of Matt "Guitar" Murphy.

I remember seeing him in Boston with James Cotton most likely in the 70's. He kept in great shape that's for sure. Always liked his playing. I was surprised he was a bit older than I thought he might be. Great player.
