I don't get out much to play, but I am an on-call sub for DK's Full House which is run by Danny Klein, founding member and bass player of the J. Geils Band.

I got a call to do a gig a few weeks ago and had a decent amount of footage recorded this time around and was pleased with how this cover of Whammer came out. Some of you may recall I had a thread a while back where I fumble in the middle of the song and recover. It's still not 100%, but it's gotten better with time and I always look forward to doing it.

at least you've got that rapid fire diddle di diddle di diddle di diddle di tongue thang before the short drum break down. I never could get it up to speed!

Since all of us here pretty much know how the whole solo - note for note - was originally done, I always do a tip o' the hat to folks that post their versions here.

I thought it was a pretty good version. You already know where you could tighten it up a bit, so won't offer my opinion there.
