I play some regular harps (a mixed bag of Hohners and Suzukis). All goes well. I have a few chroms - a Swan 1040, Seydel Chromatic Standard, Suzuki SCX-48, & a Hohner Discovery 48. When I play my chroms, I'm usually good to go. But for some strange reason, the draws & blows for holes 1, 2, & 3 on my Hohner get stuck (slide is out). It can't be the way I'm playing because holes 4 to 12 sound great, & no stuck reeds whatsoever from my other chroms. And to think my $30.00 Chinese made Swan (no windsavers on that model) actually performs better than my $150.00 Hohner! Even the Seydel has no windsavers, but for $70.00, it's actually a decent companion when I'm out playing at the county park. Any ideas, since I'm tired of opening the covers to adjust them. Sounds great for awhile, then back to square one.

Not sure but it kinda sounds like the windsavers are sticking. A good way to help this is to take a little spray bottle of water and lightly spray into the chromatic harmonica after playing and putting it away for the night. I forget who suggested this to me, I think it was George Miklas, but in any case in greatly reduced stuck windsavers the next time I picked up the chromatic. It's also a good idea to try to warm up the chromatic before playing it for the day with like a heating pad, or putting it under your arm for a bit.
