I am not an electrician.....my question is this. I gig with a 65 Ampeg Rocket. I went to get some spare fuses for it. No one in the area has the same fuse. It is a 3A 125 volt fuse. The guy at the music shop ( they do repairs) said I could use a 3A 250V fuse with no issues. Is he correct ? Sidenote.... I "tubed down" this amp to reduce feedback and played it like that for a couple years. I just got a Lone Wolf Mojo Pad - put back in the old 12AX7......WOW !! The pad works great, I can crank it ( if I need to )without a care !!! ----------

Domestic fuses are voltage-independent. The only thing is getting one that's the right physical size - they shouldn't vary, but the plug formats might. ---------- Andrew. -----------------------------------------

However, the maximum input power of the gear will be 375W (3x125), so it may be better to use a 2A fuse at 250V (500W, close enough).
I'd have both in your toolbox and see - run it on full during practice and if a 2A fuse blows for no reason, use a 3A fuse instead. ---------- Andrew. -----------------------------------------

You might also check if it's a quick blow fuse or a slow blow fuse, should say on the fuse body. If nothing is specified then doesn't matter but if it does, there's a reason.
The lower amp fuse is a good idea, better to blow out early than after something expensive gets fried

I once merrily changed plugs on a 3KW heater without checking the fuse (it was 1A). The bang and flash were very impressive! ---------- Andrew. -----------------------------------------
