I play guitar at home 10% of the time, harp 90%. I have a small pedal board that I use for both. Is the LW Harp Reverb appropriate for guitar also, or might I look at the HoF or DigiVerb instead so I have more options? I use my LW Harp Delay with guitar and it seems to sound fine. Looks like there's a positive review that mentions guitar. So it should work fine, right?

Maybe a more important question is how much I would use it. Is reverb so close to delay that I don't need it? Anyone use both at same time? I feel like I could use a little more space than I get from the delay when playing slow blues, jazzy Chromatic or comping like an organ.

My setup is:
Shure PE585 mic --> Micro POG --> Mooer Soul Shiver (rotary sim) --> LW Harp Delay --> 5W Kalamazoo Amp

Sure the Harp reverb will work fine for guitar but most guitar players want more reverb...If you like the organic sound of the LW reverb I would recommend the Banshee by "Rougarou" pedals made by this forums very own Nathan Heck. It is very similar to the Harp Reverb but has more reverb and depth.

Thanks, Moon Cat. I'll check it out. I wonder if it needs any mods to be harp friendly or if it is out of the box?

I had a hand in the design of the reverb so I can help some here. First of all, reverb and delay are TOTALLY different things. Delays do echoes and echoes tend to repeat. Reverb is something designed to attempt to capture the sounds of an acoustically live room (like a hard tiled bathroom or a large, empty high ceiling cathedral as examples.

I use both but with reverb, if you have REALLY GOOD breath control, which then will translate into being good with dynamics (and since too many players often play way too hard to begin with, they too often will automatically be horrible at dynamics), and since this reverb pedal, which is a spring reverb simulator pedal, that means even the TINIEST difference in your dynamic touch makes a difference.

Most every recording has some sort of reverb on it. If you're new to it, my setting recommendation would be to set the tone control of the reverb pedal to the 12 O'Clock position and the reverb knob itself to the 7:00 position (all the way to the left and then experiment with it. A deeper setting on the reverb knob on a slow blues, especially with a chromatic and played very softly and then leaning on it a bit here and there can be quite amazing.

i bought a "Hall of fame reverb" for slide guitar --I use it with an "acoustikat' pedal---
the 2 together sound rich and full

Th hall of fame is worth the money--i usually don't like a lot of options on a pedal but between the tone control and decay and level ,u can dial in as much or little as u want---I love this pedal

I have a Digitech Genesis 1 that allows both delay and reverb at the same time. Sometimes I like them both together. They are distinctly different effects, though if you set a VERY short delay and MANY repeats, delay can ALMOST sound like reverb. Most of the time I use few effects.
