Just had to share because I love this kind of dissonance. For me, this is the harmonic starting point for blues. From here, you can creep closer to traditional harmony. But don't sound too in tune!

I agree this is part of the sound that helped me fall in love with this music! Though I see nothing wrong with playing perfectly in tune I think your right Valley Duke there is a powerful vibe hear in all it's perfect, imperfection! The Japanse call that a "Wabi". Not for everyone. Glad you "get it" Thanks for the post!

@MoonCat Seems like you need the perfect group of musicians to do it. The Tele-playing guitarist in Bad Kind has amazing taste/style - you 2 guys really break it down.

Sounds like Muddy on slide - his band must have been backing her - and that yell at the end is Muddy, too.

Big Mama was the first harp player I ever saw live.
