Here's a live clip from 1985 in New Zealand, playing Maybelline with one of the first bands I was in, Acoustic Confusion:

AC Live 1985 - Maybelline

Incidentally the harp used here is my earliest type of Stretch Harp: an 11-holer made from two Hohner Special 20s with all draw notes bendable. It's in what I called Regular Breath Tuning, one of my first alt-tunings.

Oh to be that slim again!

The lead singer is Julian McKean, who I always felt could have been a star. He had it all: brilliant singer, songwriter, performer and stunning good looks.

But he was deeply suspicious about the music business, never made a solo album and became an engineer and farmer instead...
