This is a cover of the song "On the sunny side of the street" live on the time squares screen. As you can see, people are so amazed by my performance they just freeze in the street! Sorry?.... What did you say?..... No it is not a fake!
Truly wonderful playing. Very reminiscent of players like Kirk Johnson, Jean Jacques Milteau and PT Gazell. Much, much more musically pleasing to my ear than the amplified, heavily overdriven, effects laden, ego driven showboating more often seen on harmonica forums. A very mature, musically sensible performance. Which is completely in the service of the song. You should be very proud indeed of that one
Very pleasant and nicely done. Love the choices and presentation of your accompanying video. I haven't been back since the cleanup but it's good to see that Times Square now has a sunny side.
Great stuff!!! I really enjoyed this. Sometimes I make references to not playing a harmonica like it's a harmonica. Well, this is a wonderful example of that where phrasing and note choices are driven by the music and not as excuses to implement harmonica specific playing techniques. Very sophisticated sound, IMHO.
