Besides the obvious in materials I was wondering what the differences were between Corian and Hogany style combs

From a dimensional standpoint, there is zero difference. Regardless of the material, the same CNC code is used to cut any given model comb. Corian is a Solid Surface material made by DuPont and is primarily used for kitchen and bath counter tops. Hogany is another story. It is, more or less, imitation wood. It is a proprietry blend of 7 or 8 acrylic resins. Hogany was developed by a guy who makes supplies for the custom knife industry. I have bought screws, braces and Hogany from him. I have had a lot of positive feedback about the Hogany combs. I do not have good enough ears to really notice the difference in tone between Corian and Hogany but I have had several guys tell me they can. Unfortunately, I have to discontinue the Hogany combs because my source for the material has dried up. I still have a few Hogany combs in stock, but when they are gone, they are gone.
