This video really showed me some weakness in my game, so why not share.
I am told I'm a great dancer and I have no problem playing harp when I have a rhythm section. I do struggle with keeping my own rhythm. You can hear me lose it a little in a couple of places. I was actually set up to hit drum on downbeat and tambourine on upbeat. Just not there yet. If you lose the beat, the emotion in your playing will falter.
I'm also trying to add lip block rhythmic parts (some call it pursing) in between main phrases. Some better than others. I do blend in some tongue blocking which is still a work in progress for me, but I am making headway.
To play country in cross you gotta be able to bend the 3 hole a full step. Mine waivers but seems to work for this style.
I feel I do a pretty good job on 4 draw and timing a leak over into 5 draw to get the double stop.
One OB in the song.
I found a 70s style hard suitcase at the Goodwill for $10. Pretty good tone. You can see a hole I cut and covered with a mesh screen to let the sound out.
Not many good versions of this on youtube. Please, try if you like and share as well. Maybe someone can play it in 1st position?
I apologize to all you Florida fans (not really).

Just noise to me no offense. Better no beat than off beat

Less beat is more- Pick the 1 and 3 or 2 and four and concentrate on that.
I didnt even hear the harp because of the off rhythm

No offense taken. Thanks for your comment. I try hard and will continue to do so. As I said, work in progress.

I am a drum teacher. Pick one minimal beat and stick to it until you develop some independence in your legs

Its boring but it works
