check out the phrasing at 1:38 pretty wicked. check out the small amps they are using.
one of them looks like a kalamazoo.

He is driving that small amp pretty hard. At least I hear that. Awesome playing although I am not sure I love the sound out of the amp on the recording. Sounds thin to me. Could be just the recording. Never-the-less one of my favorite players.

so it is evident, that there is no bass player, the keyboard is holding down the bass part. that is why in lager part that this is possible.

too often the bass player wants to drive the bus so to speak,
and play lead bass as loud as possible. not all bass players....
listen to bill stuve or rick reed, they know how to lay it down.
usually the drummer get the blame, far too often that is not the case.

it's fun to play when there is a nice stage volume and earplugs are not required.

Now I've got a reason to feel good. That was great playing. Thanks for posting.

Mitch plays with the pianist and drummer from my band, the Backscratchers, when he tours in Germany. They don't use a bassist purely for money reasons. Not ideal but it's a compromise they make.

I don't know what amp is playing here but he plays whatever he is given. Think it was a pro junior this time.

Mitch is the shit-the real deal.
100% tongue block-even the upper register blow-bends.

I could listen to Mitch all day ,every day.

Me too. One of my favorite players, hands down. You never know quite where he's headed when he takes off on a run.
